Viviana Kammel lebt und arbeitet in Berlin als Zeichnerin und Autorin sowie beim Film. Bildergeschichten stehen im Zentrum ihrer künstlerischen Tätigkeit. Diese sieht sie nicht nur im primären Medium Film, sondern auch in erzählerischer Malerei, Comics und Graphic Novels. Daneben behandelt sie in ihren Arbeiten Kunstformen und ihre Differenzierung, feministische Perspektiven, Phänomene des kulturellen Gedächtnisses sowie die Ästhetik der Sensation. Sie studierte Filmwissenschaft und Kunstgeschichte an der Freien Universität Berlin, bei Gertrud Koch, Marc Siegel und Karin Gludovatz, und arbeitet bei Filmgalerie 451. Sie war Stipendiatin des Goethe-Instituts Villa Kamogawa in Kyoto (2017), der Kulturstiftung Schloss Wiepersdorf (Gruppenstipendium 2021) und Initiatorin des feministischen Kunstprojektes „Erinyen Now“ (2021-2024).

Viviana Kammel lives and works in Berlin as a draftswoman and author as well as in film. Picture stories are at the center of her artistic work. For her these are not only in the primary medium of film, but also in narrative painting, comics and graphic novels. In her work, she also deals with art forms and their differentiation, feminist perspectives, phenomena of cultural memory, and the aesthetics of sensation. She studied film studies and art history at Freie Universität Berlin, under Gertrud Koch, Marc Siegel and Karin Gludovatz, and works at Filmgalerie 451. She was a fellow of the Goethe-Institut Villa Kamogawa in Kyoto (2017), the Kulturstiftung Schloss Wiepersdorf (group scholarship 2021) and initiator of the feminist art project „Erinyen Now“ (2021-2024).
